Hello everyone,
As krita 2.9 is going to be released soon, we thought of releasing an ad in gimp magazine (online) about the release.
We need help in creating the ad, any artwork, idea or suggestion is appreciated.
We can discuss this on the IRC too.

According to Boudewijn the ad can be "a big splash about the latest release, probably with kiki"

The specifications for the ads according to gimp magazine are as follows:
Full Digital Page – 14″ x 7.875″ (16:9 ratio) - 96 dpi in .jpg, .png or .tif format

Usually the best place to start with brainstorming ads is figuring out what we want to tell people.

Is this ad trying to tell people that Krita exists? or is this ad more for existing users that just want to know about the new features in 2.9?

I would think the "new user" would be a better focus. Even though we have a 2.9 release, I would position it more of just "hey, here is this awesome painting application that is free. it is does this really cool stuff... check out the new 2.9 version". etc.
