Hello, everyone,
This is my first post on this forum and I'm sorry in advance for eventual bad English. I tryed and even used for some drawings Krita, which looks like very promising, with a lot of potential. The shortcuts are very well thought, the interface is great, etc. There is just one problem which is pretty serious for me. I dunno if that's a bug I'm the only one to have, but... it's really impossible to change or even create brushes without having a ton of bugs (icons disappear, when I restart krita, the created brushes disappear, and I even had once a bug of Krita refusing to launch at all because I changed a brush and I needed to restart my computer to be able to use the programm again. Also, I found some additionnal brushes for Krita, from David Revoy and other artists found thanks to google, but... even with tutorials, I don't manage to install them. I think it would be really better if the system of brushes installation was as easy as with MyPaint. XD Otherly, I have nothing to add except that the programm is sometimes very very slow to use if we have more than around 10 layers and a big resolution picture. But as the programm is a little young, I guess it's normal. After all, I'm perfectly aware that making a programm is not at all a piece of cake. But I really think that when Krita will become lighter and faster and will get a better brushes system, it will be really an awesome programm! =D And finally, I would like to know if it's possible with Krita to use a brush / tool similar to the "blur" brush of Paint Tool Sai? Cause this tool is really more than amazing and useful, but except in MyPaint, I never saw any other programm which gets the same. I saw in Krita the brush "FX_blur_light", which seems to give almost the same effect, but... that's not enough and when I touch to the parameters to blur the tool more, the programm becomes very slow and it doesn't work as I expected. So, if everyone could help me about this, that could be nice! =3 (But maybe my finale paragraph should be posted to another topic? ^^') EDIT: I also forgot to precise: I'm in Linux Mint with Cinnamon. |
