Though it is not so important issue as Krita itself, it is a question I can't provide certain answer. I think Krita's pronunciation is /krita/
README in Wikipedia says:
Krita is a paint application for raster images. It's also, according to the Dictionary of Phrase and Fable:
The first of four Hindu periods contained in the great Yuga, when the genius of Truth and Right, in the form of bull, stood firm on his four feet, and man gained nothing by iniquity. In the Mahabharata, the name 'krita' is used in a context where this can be translated with 'perfect' – the perfect age. Krita is Swedish for crayon and rita means "to draw".

I did some research according to the README. कृत in Sanskrit is pronounced as /kɹ̩t̪ɐ/ in IPA. Krita in Swedish is pronounced as /kr'i:ta/.
I also found some pronunciations of Krita from Farvo:
In Sanskrit, though it is not clear whether he is true Sanskrit speaker: http://ja.forvo.com/word/krit%C3%A1/#sa
In Swedish: http://ja.forvo.com/word/krita/#sv
Eventually, what is the precise pronunciation of Krita, though I afraid slightly that this question would caused an endless controversy?

There's no definite answer. When I talk to Boudewijn and Irina in Dutch, it's Kree-tah. But when we attempt to speak english this quickly becomes Kweetah, because we are trying to stay within the same way we speak english words. (similarly, I tend to pronounce my own name when speaking english as wol-the-ra, even though it's pronounced akin to wol-tay-ra in Dutch :) )

Boudewijn can give you a more concise explanation, I'm sure.

EDIT: btw, both soundsamples you linked are the same :)
