Any plans to update or add small features to the vector tools?

Most likely there won't be much change in the next 2-4 months.
Currently most of the development goes into Frameworks 5 and Kickstarter. After 3.1 some vector work is planned with text being one of the biggest issues. Adding these features shouldn't be that hard. Boolean operations is kind of a different thing. Karbon has boolean operations, but I'm not sure if these are much tested and work properly. So it might be really easy or need some big rework. The group problem is known. Unfortunately that code is a big tricky so that hasn't been fixed yet. |

You can install Karbon and try it there. There is combine, separate, unite, subtract, intersect. It also has the mirror already.
You can rotate the object in the same layer. If you press alt while rotating it will rotate in step, so you can easily rotate 90°. |
