So, Microsoft dropped this thing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzMLA8YIgG0 into the public attention recently. While I'm not going to get one anytime soon due to it requiring windows 10, I was wondering if I could get similar functionality to the little twist knob in krita.
A while ago, I got a Kickstarter package from these guys http://palettegear.com/index, and it has a twisty knob that supports both midi and joystick interfaces. However, I was unable to find any way to get Krita to take input with it. (besides keyboard mode, which is kinda pointless.) |

There is currently no way to use midi as sensor input.

Are you using linux? That palettegear seems really cool. How's linux support for it?
I've been using an analog usb gamepad with antimicro as a controller which works quite well. The great thing with antimicro compared to other gamepad software is that you can assign keyboard combos to single keys. If the palettegear sends ordinary gamepad signals it should work with antimicro to set it up on linux. But I'm not sure how well the dials will work. |
