Hi !
Has Krita a tool like PhotoShop Slice Tool ? It is meant to split one image in several other at export, already named, based on certain guides. Most demo showcase this feature with website layout, but I find it way more useful for webcomics for example, to split each row as a separate image to allow faster render of the web page, or for splitting game sprites, scans with multiple drawing, or even color charts for example. If not, what do you use for this kind of task ? Thanks ! |

No. It would be cool to have, and not even that hard to do, but it needs someone to step up and start coding. Dmitry and I are too busy implementing Kickstarter-funded features and fixing bugs, so this is really is something for a volunteer to pick up and have fun with.

Thanks for your answer,
Dmitry and I are too busy implementing Kickstarter-funded features and fixing bugs
Of course, this is the priority
this is really is something for a volunteer to pick up and have fun with.
That is the beautify of Open Source ! -- If someone digg this feature request, note that it can be more flexible that Photoshop slice tools : like we could have overlapping slices, and even non rectangle one (of course, exported file is rectangle, but it can have transparency), and ways to auto-name them. Just few ideas about problem we can have with the Photoshop version. |
