Hello,
I am discovering Krita. I find that the vector module Does not have the flexibility of Adobe Illustrator. We should be able to give a style to the lines like thin and thick stroke to integrate it into a bitmap drawing. When I draw a craft, I have easier with illustrator than I import into Krita. Would it be possible to get closer to illustrator philosophy in the future? |

A little late, but Krita is a raster-image editing/creation program. Vectors are only there to enhance your raster-based image, and to output them as rasters. Photoshop philosophy is no different in that aspect. Photoshop uses vectors for raster support. Try Inkscape or stick with Illustrator for vectors. If I can program for Inkscape, I would try.

The vector tools in krita are undergoing an overhaul, they will be improved and will be better than what we have now, however as @Reptorian said Krita is not a full fledged vector editor. so There might be some features that are not present in the new vector system. I suggest you to report a wishbug for improvement, (If the new vector system doesn't have the feature you request) once the new vector system is released. |

What you're asking is something that Clip Paint Studio does, where every brush stroke can be treated as a vector curve and edited as such. MyPaint also does that on a much smaler scale as well, even though it has no vectoring capabilities.
