Hi just a quick shout out to the developers for their hard work maintaining the Mac version. I have been digitally illustrating for years now using illustrator but hadn't taken the plunge into digital painting.
The cost and time I would have to spend learning a new package put me right off. I discovered Krita a couple of weeks ago and have been blown away. This is the missing piece from my tool kit, theres no going back now. I have made a donation as a gesture of appreciation for this amazing software, keep up the good work! |

That would be mostly me -- we had one other guy giving a hand last year, but he's kind of dropped out... Thanks for the support!

Hi there Krita Mac devs,
Krita seems really great I"m enjoying using it on my mac. I don't know if it is just me, but it seems really buggy. I am using a Wacom Bamboo on a MacbookAir (10.11.5). Sometimes the brush icon looks like the icon when you are scrolling horizontally, pressure mappings seem to disappear and when I press f5 they sometimes come back after I swear I didn't change anything. Great work, but just wondering if others find Krita very stable on mac? Are things better when running under linux? |

Now that Bernhard has disappeared (and he was only around for a few months), there are _no_ Krita mac developers.
There's just me, and I develop Krita on Linux, and only use the macbook to make the releases. I seldom have time to look into macOS-specific bugs, and I dislike the os and the hardware and especially the keyboard and its layout immensely. I know about the cursor bug; haven't had time to look into it. I do not have problems with the two tablets I have tested (Intuos 3 and Cintiq Hybrid Companion) though. In any case, nobody is fixing mac-specific bugs; it seems that macOS users are extremely unlikely to actually start helping out. I am seriously thinking of just selling the macbook pro and stop making macOS packages altogether. |

Cheers for all the work you have done. Thanks for the assessment. I really do like this program, I think I may pick up a linux box at home to just so that I can use it going forward.

Hi Boudewijn, thanks for your work. Krita is a blessing for Mac-users.
I am still learning the software using the keyring with Krita on both, a Mac and a tablet pc with win 10 and wacom devices. On Mac OSX i still found only less issues. I'm unhappy that Krita 4.0 isn't supported on Yosemite any longer. For Example, on El Capitan I positioned the Advanced Color Selector on the left side. Hovering over it, parts of the popping Elements appear on my second sreen. Finding out more, l will give reply. Stay ahead for Mac-users. |

The minimum version we can support on macOS is dependent on the minimum version Qt supports for macOS -- we can't do anything about that.

Well, after having the problems with Krita 3.3.3 not working on my iMac. Krita 4.01 works great. Thanks for the update.
