Well..I complained earlier about the text tool wasn´t very good, in comparison to photoshop text layers, updated to version 4.0 today..without any option to keep the old version.(weird..why is that?)
Now...I though the old text tool was wonky and hard to edit, but at least it worked on the canvas when writing directly and seeing changes.

The new text tool seem to have abonded the direct canvas editing and display...so what is up with that?
I rather prefer direct canvas feedback when editing, to me it feels like a step back, Have to reserv myself from not having tested it too much yet, so any
correction of me being wrong ..I am gladely looking forward too

I'm sure you preferred direct on-canvas editing, but it was the reason for so many bugs that we decided not even to try an replicate that again.
