AppImage build number

I'm Gnome user but I need and love Krita. Can you please remove build numbers from image as on every update krita-XXX.AppImage desktop launchers became useless, forcing us to create new launchers (including for startup)?

I haven't use Gnome in ages, but I would think you can rename the file (as can be done in other DE) and from there just make a launcher with a generic name (e.g. Krita.appimage) then every time you download a new version just rename it like that (within the same folder) and you should be able to use the same launcher.

Thing is that some people (many I think) like to have more than one version at hand, to test before completely switching, also from the launching point of view, having no version number would make things very complicated. In either case launchers would be the way Gnome handles things I'm thinking.

Now this obviously doesn't apply to the Distros repositories, as striping this numbers when installing from the main repos is done automatically in the menu utilities. Again this is in theory, unless Gnome has gotten really bizarre nowadays, then sorry this is no much help :)
