I just wanted to let it be known that on my Ubuntu Bionic Beaver system my Wacom Bamboo 16FG Finger touch tablet causes Krita to crash the instant i try to use it. The tablet can be used without issue on the desktop and in GIMP.

I uninstalled the Flatpak version and instead installed the appimage of 4.1.5 to avoid an automatic update through the Gnome software manager. The tablet works fine with 4.1.5 including pressure sensitivity.

I haven't used Krita much, but i'm picking it up quickly. It's awesome!

Edit - I downloaded the 4.1.7 Flatpak again and was going to run it from the terminal to see if there was any helpful info i could post - but i can't figure out what path to use. I'm happy to try to provide more information but someone will need to tell me how.

The flatpak is unofficial. I don't know how to get a backtrace from a flatpak, and I wouldn't be able to fix anything if it is flatpak-specific. Please install 4.1.7 from the ppa: https://launchpad.net/~kritalime/+archive/ubuntu/ppa with the debug symbols and see if the crash is reproducible.

Using the official repo did indeed solve the problem. :)
