Hi guys I'm completely new to Krita and wanted to export some files as .tga but they are exporting as .icb. Why are they exporting as this? Thanks!

er... this is the first time I hear of this? They export as tga on linux...
EDIT: our maintainer suspects that your are running a version of Linux where the mimetype database is considering the .icb extension the default extension for .tga (technically speaking, icb is a valid extension for tga, but like, back in the eighties.

I'm sorry, but I cannot reproduce that. I create a new image, draw a bit, save as bla.tga and do get a tga file:
boud@boud-ThinkStation-E31:~/dev/b-krita$ file ~/bla.tga /home/boud/bla.tga: Targa image data - RGBA 1600 x 1200 x 32 - 4-bit alpha - top Krita hasn't got a single export plugin that can save a file as .icb... Though https://fileinfo.com/extension/icb says icb is a targa file format. What OS are you using? Which version of Krita? |
