Dear all,
I am new to Krita which I fund great. To the point that I am thinking to move from Painter. I have downloaded Krita 4.2.7.1 macos image and installed it on my mac (mojave 10.14.6 ) I am in testing phases and was keen in installing the brushers kindly provided by David Revoy that I understand is key contributor to the project. I have downloeded the brushes and installed them following step by step the procedure described and displayed in the video: https://www.davidrevoy.com/article742/k ... esets-pack However, the new brush preset fo not appear in the window. Any suggestion? |

You probably need to restart Krita. Also before that, make sure the bundle is in the "Active" area in Settings -> Manage Resources.

Dear tymond,
Thank you for the answer. The steps you are mentioning are well described in the Davis' video. I can confirm that the David's brushes are loaded in the left panel (active brush) while in the right panel there is only the Krita 3 brushes. I also confirm that I have rebooted several times Krita. IS there any low level log I can trigger to dig further? Cheers. |

Someone else had a problem with this bundle and it was because they didn't have the Krita_4_Default_Resources bundle enabled as an active bundle.
As David says in the comments section of his website page, "..... yes this new brushes reuse brushtip from Krita 4.x default. " Many people who make bundles of brush presets do rely on the existing default resources, especially for brush tips. You said that David's Krita_4_Extras bundle is in the left (active) panel. Is the Krita_4_Default_Resources bundle also in the left panel? You say, " ... However, the new brush preset do not appear in the window." By this, I assume you mean in the Brush Presets docker? In the Brush Presets docker, at the top, there is a wide dropdown box. Set this to 'All' and in the search box at the bottom of the docker, type 'hardpainting'. This should then show you the many Hardpainting brush presets that are in David's bundle. If none of the above helps, then there is a deeper problem. |
