I just learned how to use mesh gradients in Krita 4.4.2 and it's great, but it doesn't allow creating radial (conical) ones, which Inkscape has. As an amateur comic maker, this is useful for shading faces.
My understanding is it's just a rectangular mesh that wraps around. I asked the developer Sharaf Zaman about it (really appreciate your work ) and he said his focus was mostly on rendering, not the UI. I wanted to ask here to gauge the interest and if the feature is already in progress before filing a request? |

Based on your example, wouldn't it be easier to just paint with a gradient tool and then transform it (make it thinner but taller, and rotate)?
Although the tool does sound useful for some cases. As far as I can tell, no one is working on that right now, and the team is going to work on resource management system rewrite instead of new features in the coming months. |
