Sounds great! Regular news (with pictures!) seems to be what really makes the difference in getting an interested community. I can also add a menu link that shows previous news items that have gone off the front page. So I just need to know what you'd like help with:
* Would you like me to look it over or clean it up at all? * Would you like me to add screenshots? There's two different processes depending on if you just want an image there, or if you want it to be shown like the ones in the gallery where you can click on it to zoom in a lightbox. * Maybe you'd prefer I write up some documentation on adding images / articles so anyone can? * Something else entirely? Currently I'm just working on a couple of images to potentially expand the the showcase if everyone's happy with them. I'd love to record a couple of video's showing how to use a couple of the more interesting and unusual features of Krita (like the filter brush) for launch, but we'll see how time goes. I'm really looking forward to the launch, and hoping we can make a good splash! |

I would very much like you to go over the weekly news article and clean it up & put it in the right category and so on -- and having a link and a page with old content is a good idea. I still need to make some screenshots for that page, I hope to do that tomorrow morning. I want them to be just images inside the text, but I should be able to figure that out.
When I've heard back from the e.V. about the donation link, we can put the other page live as well, and then I want to make the switch to krita.org: blog, post to the dot (I'll write the texts for that tomorrow as well). |

Just as a heads up. I think the new page is fantastic. It's one of the (very) rare pages that look good in 1920x1080. Great work.

Thanks Andre. I like fluid (and semi-fluid) designs for exactly that reason.

Frequentyl is the new uber-l33t "frequently" * Kubuntiac quietly slips away to edit the site... |
