Wow! Thanks to all of you who contributed to our fundraising drive to have Lukas work full time on getting Krita fast, stable and ready to create high resolution professional art. Because of you, this week we managed to reach an important milestone... Raising over 4000 Euro's! Now we're guaranteed to have enough for Lukas to work the full three months (and hopefully more) even after the inevitable PayPal transfer fees. The plan is ambitious, but thanks to you all we have a great chance as a team to make it happen!

If you've ever tried Krita and wished it was faster / easier / more stable but haven't had a chance to help out, now's your chance! Take a look at the unique, one off opportunity to do exactly this here!

That's not all that's been happening though with improvements in configuring autosave, a new gaussian blur, new Krita hackers learning the ropes and making their first commits and more. Check it out in Boud's weekly "This Week in Krita" wrap-up here.

Oh, and as always you can keep up on the upcoming news and improvements in Krita by RSS here, or on identi.ca here
