I felt inspired on trying to learn how to paint snow landscape (after seing that issue 36 of Corel Painter magazine countains tutorial on the subject, and to my disappointment that the issue was out of order ), I found this tutorial, and made an adaptation for Krita.
Here is the final result. For the first step I have drawn the sky, first by filling the layer with a solid blue color, then using several stroke with the hairy brush (100px and 4% density) and different variation of the blue color. Then I made a rough sketch of the mountain, using the pixel brush at 40px, alternating between white and a light blue, at opacity 40%: Then I used the hairy brush to give some texture (30px, 10% density, 10% opacity): Then to draw the flake, I used the spray brush with white color, and the default settings, and I simply spray more near the top of the mountain, and a layer at 66% of opacity: For the flake falling from the sky, I used the spray brush, but drawing uniformly over the layer: If you know about other tutorials on the subject, and want to suggest improvement to this one, I would be more than happy to hear about it ! |
