wao, I'm happy to see the squirel shapes inspirate artists.
I did yesterday a icon kit from the Faenza theme, and created one for Krita ( in SVG in the pack ). My icon is a modern 'remake' of the krita classic one. I resdistribute them under GPL here http://www.davidrevoy.com/index.php?art ... plications |

Love the second design there. Classy and using a nice KDE style blue. I just hope beyond all reason that with a change of logo design that we can drop the ghastly fuschia, pink of the current logo. Grey. Stylish. KDE blue. Appropriate. Heck, I could even live with an orange brown for the squirrel / ubuntu lovers out there. Just as long as we can move on from pink.

It looks there is something to do with a mix of various ideas :
- Sinozzuke palette for the second one ( black + bright cyan ) looks good and I agree with Kubuntiac. I think the tail and the body can be merged with a palette like this. - The remake of the shape from N-pigeon made a better head to the squirel, but the 'K' is less readable ( may be the curved tail and the width variation of the leg are not pertinent for this )By the way, good job with the more elegants smooth vector curves. - also like the embossed splatters behind idea of Spell, not as it is now, but as a concept. But, the embossed outlines can be hard to read at a logo/icon this. So, I think I will try to mix it all before the end of week |

I never understood because a program has to have a pet. I really liked that did not have pet the first time I start it, looked professional.
Krita should have a logo that characterizes him, but one that does brand (like Firefox). I think the program should win fame. And when it has a large user base, make a contest of ideas. You can leave a good logo, a good brand, a pet or do like Corel Painter and have the starter several different images. Or do publicly and in blogs and the like, and choose from among the participants pictures for the shirts. It is only my humble opinion. But I think this will mark a krita ... you would have to think What is krita? What do you want it to mean? What is your spirit? and the answers to these and other questions come up with a logo. |

My vote goes for the grey-blue palette with a gray background. Talking about pets, I'm half agree with Antonio but, that logo has 2 very good things, have a pro look, there is a lot of great designs with shapes of animals out there.
We can make the blue part less comic and more "plain design". And we can use the cartoonish squirrel from Animtim as a pet or something. We can make art variations from that pet and that's a good collavorative project IMHO. some beautiful designs http://naldzgraphics.net/inspirations/5 ... n-animals/ |

Hello guys,
we need to have something as T-shirt design. It does not have to be logo. Can we maybe come to some conclusion here? We need the design soon. So what do you suggest?
Daylight is coming...

Well I suggest a combination of my last proposal (which is based on the old logo but with the idea that we're changing of logo.. the Pink or Orange painting version, as you prefer) and a version of the new logo Deevad proposed.
Like a big illustration printed on the back side, and a small logo on the front side, right on the heart |

Sorry , because I don't have enough time to work on the T-Shirt logo before the Sprint ; a lot of freelance work here. Btw, I will keep around to comment. |
