I am interested in running Calligra in Mac OS X Lion. It seems that Homebrew has also support for KDE for Mac OS X. Update KDE to 4.8 https://github.com/mxcl/homebrew/pull/9797 Edit: This is KDE 4.8 branch https://github.com/haraldF/homebrew/tre ... ry/Formula I think this homebrew (above) is good as kde base for Calligra. It is just figuring how to use it and include Calligra 2.4.x and Calligra 2.5 What is the current KDE version that is needed for Calligra 2.4.1 and Calligra 2.5 inorder to compile / run properly? Edit: This homebrew has reference to calligra (i.e. Krita and Karbon) https://github.com/aseques/homebrew-bon ... 5f72034710 Edit: This is Krita using Homebrew posting. viewtopic.php?f=139&t=101867&start=15 He seems almost able to run Krita QGIS is FOSS GIS that uses Qt toolkit as well. It compiles for Linux, Windows and Mac OS X. Here is the link for the Mac OS X. https://github.com/qgis/Quantum-GIS/tree/master/mac I think we can learn from the scripts from QGIS for Mac OS X, especially the scripts for the dynamic libraries. How QGIS is compile for Mac OS X and use it to compile Calligra for Mac OS X. Thanks. Noli

I am trying to compile Krita on OSX, I will post a link to the bin's on the forum when I'm done.
I'm using macports, kdebase4 keeps throwing the error 'obsolete port'. |

Please post the precise resolving error.

Don't worry, I've ditched macports, going to compile all the deps myself. I've made another thread here: viewtopic.php?f=139&t=108427&p=252730#p252730 if anyone wants to help.
