Just wanted to add that I installed a USB mouse to test with Krita and the mouse did not have any lag issues at all, so it seems to be related to the Wacom digitizer.

Didn't even think of testing that. Edit: Same with my tablet. Works smoothly with mouse. |

Can we expect windows build for Krita 2.5 as well?
[edit] I just saw while installing that it is already 2.5 alpha! THX guys, testing in progress! [edit2] Krita looks sweet! However I guess perspective grid on win7 64 is not working properly. I can draw it but I cant edit it or close by clicking on red "X" in the centre. I need to learn how to properly send bug reports - I am for some serious testing! Love the software! |

The perspective grid was broken on Linux as well -- we fixed that last week. I was traveling to attend the Qt Contributors Summit so I didn't have access to my windows build box to create a new installer, but I will do that today.

Ow man - thank you SO MUCH! I was sketching half night - cant get enough of Krita
I got another little bug - I am sorry to do this this way, I will go through bug tracker next time, I just want to point it out real quick. One of the ways to resize of brush seams to be broken on Win. Pushing "SHIFT" and moving stylus left-right is making brush outline freeze, it is resizing it but is not showing process on the screen so I cant see what size is it, and when unfreezes size is changed. With mouse it is working better, I can see outline resizing but still very laggy. When I left Krita ON for a few hours (I finally went to sleep) and I came back to it it was working flawlessly, smooth like a dream on both mouse and stylus :/. But on restart problem came back - so something to think about as this dynamic way of resizing is really great. |

Hi Nezumi!
Yes, that's broken on Windows. I'm not sure why or how... It's pretty weird. We're rewriting that part right now, and I'm pretty sure we'll be able to fix it. |

Fantastic! I am trying to use Krita on commercial illustration now, that has no tight deadline really, so I will be probably sending more comments on it. Tell you what - I wasnt that passionate about any software for a long time man. It just feels ok and does the job pretty well. I was lurking around, watching but never really tried it - now I am fascinated I really hope that Krita will find a way to get some love on Windows as well - I am spreading a word over internet wherever I can, hope it will help a bit. Plus I will keep on using it
Thanks again! |

These changes are they likely to be backported to the Linux version? say for Vivaldi....

Wow this sound freaking amazing! And I just started to play with ubuntu, neon-project, and stuff to make krita work but this sounds much simpler.
But will it work only on 'Ultrabooks and upcoming Intel-based tablets' |

Oh yes -- we're going to work on this right inside the calligra source repository, so all the code is open and free. The joys of a GPL codebase .

Well, the touch version will need touch. The ultrabooks and tablets will have multi-touch screens, so that's the focus for Krita Sketch. For regular desktop users, we'll still be building "regular" Krita -- let's call it "Krita Studio" for now -- and I am sure that version will be a lot better and more stable, too, thanks to this project. But don't give up on Ubuntu yet -- we've just started, so the first results are some months in the future still. |

That is just amazing Seriously I couldn't be happier Downloading new build and tonight painting some commercial stuff on it, testing the hell out of it I am not too much for touch devices but wacom has some bamboo pen and touch - if it worked with it you could get powerful friend, Krita could be attached to each pen and touch tablet and maybe wacom could do some sponsoring? Rough idea, you can check it out.
Damn I love that soft already and I have it installed only for 3 days... Sick! |

Oh, go all the way and call the full desktop version "Krita Studio Pro"
