Resizing brush with shift works excellent now and so is perspective grid - good job! Still learning it but it is going very smoothly. Only thing that I noticed for now - when TAB is pushed to go full-screen Krita is hiding behind other windows. It is going full screen, I can get there with alt+TAB and use it without problems but initially it is just hiding instead of pops up in front of all the other windows. Its a kind of hidden full screen Not a biggie but just letting you know. End some filters are just messed up completely Like EMBOSS is giving REALLY unexpected result.
Will do the list of everything and report bugs through software as well. |

That full screen issue is pretty weird -- it might be a bug in kde itself. We do need to find someone to fix the emboss filter. It's known to be broken, but somehow there's always something more important to fix first....

Cool to hear that brush shift size and perspective grid is fixed.
I have that full screen bug too. One thing about this - is there a way to hide all toolbars, without going full screen? I mean I have most of stuff hotkeyed, so I do not use most of toolbars and menus, unless I do some filters or layer reordering... There is something like this in gimp and PS where I can hide all stuff. |

Yes. Go to settings/configure krita. Select the canvas-only settings page. Uncheck the "titlebar" check.

Really good news!! I didn't have time yet to test the newer windows version, but I'll do and let you know I'm doing some Google+ Hangouts on air while painting, and next time I'll give Krita a try
Thanks for your hard work guys! |

I tried latest build. Shift+ size works ok, bit slow :/ thought. Perspective grid work great.
I have one new bug with lates windows build - first dab of stroke has 100% pen pressure applied (so it shows 100% opacity, size, etc.): Downgrading again then :/ |

You liked last one so you may love this :
http://img42.imageshack.us/img42/3927/kritabuga.jpg I really don't know how to even describe it in bug report so I made this jpg. Also, when you try to create document of size 100mm x 100mm, 300dpi Krita will create document with one edge sized in 100 pixels, not millimeters as needed. Trying to resize it also brings some weird results. Looks like Krita really likes pixels, but other units not too much. Back to testing |

Sven fixed the image creation bug already. The other issue really needs to go bugzilla. I suggest a heading like "painting causes artefacts then transparent background". I haven't seen it happen before -- it looks really serious. I don' t know whether I hope it's windows-only or not. Do you have the .kra from that experiment? If so, I would really like to have it attached to the bug.

Ah! I've found the bug in bugzilla. Many thanks!

No problem - I have already reported few bugs there and I will be doing so until we make this app perfect Thank you for making windows build! And I dont have kra but it happens all the time so its easy to recreate. In case you needed one let me know.
I really have no idea how much work is involved in compiling new version but if you find time and make a new build every now and then (after you guys wipe out some bugs) I will be giving it some serious testing. For now this big bug and creating doc of wrong size are a bit of show stoppers for me. Good luck. |

About the wacom digitizer issue on slate/tablet pc (Latest version 2012-06-26). When I draw with the pen it's still a bit laggy but it's definitely an improvement from the last release and I can see the line being drawn now. What I mean by laggy there's a small lag before it starts to draw the line so for example if I wanted to see how small the line starts when I start drawing it...I can't because there's clearly seeable lag before I see how the line is being drawn on canvas.
Better explanation: If I put pen on screen and keep it on the screen a few seconds and draw the random shape then there is no lag. If I start drawing a line by hopping straight into drawing the random shape on the screen then there's lag. So it basically doesn't recognize the pen fast enough so there's a lag. Pressure sensitivity works. Selecting brushes with the pen is still pretty slow. |

Hi guys!! I'm doing speedpainting hangouts on air from time to time at Google+. For those who don't know, it's like having a videoconference, and retransmiting it to all the internet on real time using Youtube and Google+.
The thing is that now Krita for Windows is going ahead, I want to help promoting it a little, and also, painting in realtime is a good way to spot errors and have a record of what happened, so developers can get some feedback from the video (once the "hangout" is over, you can watch it when you want from youtube, it gets recorded). So I just created an event, and will be doing a hangout using Krita tonight while painting & sketching some random stuff. You can join the party here: https://plus.google.com/events/ctl8omrj ... 9318146470 Would be nice to have online someone more experienced using Krita to give advise, suggestions or help in real time, I'd appreciate that a lot (and I'm sure that my followers will do, also I can tell you that I'm not experienced with Krita, and I'm using this to get really started and see what it can do See you!! |

Ok, another little things I have noticed while working on Krita. I tried to rotate canvas and I spent some time looking for pan tool. Then I realized that middle mouse button is pan tool - thats cool. But where is icon for it? I saw on screenshots from linux that on tools bar Krita has pan tool icon. Last icon next to magnifier glass icon. In windows version BOTH last icons are simply gone.
Now, I can rotate canvas with middle mouse + shift key but it is so slow and unresponsive that practically unusable. Also in linux version small circle appears while rotating canvas (so I saw on screenshots) - on windows there is nothing like that. I dont see a way to came back to default 0 degrees angle either. Luckily rotating with ctrl+[ or ctrl+] works just fine. Another thing - layers. There is very small indication showing what layer I am on at the moment. Again - on linux screenshots I noticed that active layer can be simply highlighted showing very clearly where you are on. In windows I can barely notice it in minimal and detailed view of layers. Instead of highlighting layer its name simply disappears. Thats it - the only indicator of where I am in layers - where is no name... (ok, there is small icon whats on the layer also, but in minimal view it may be hard to see whats there). This would be of HUGE help if we could have highlighted active layer. I dont know if multiple layer selection is possible now, but looks like is not. Those two are my newest, major issue finds. There is a few smaller glitches I noticed, but those are way more important for now. I will report them through bugzilla as well. (Have fun in Akademy!) |

Thanks for your feedback! I have actually fixed the active layer indication thingy, but I haven't yet been able to make a new build. I'll do that when I come home. The whole canvas interaction stuff -- zooming, rotating, panning, is being rewritten as we write. The on-screen indicators are only temporarily gone. I hope that Arjen, who is also at Akademy, will be able to finish this stuff next week
