You can use the opacity slider in the top toolbar.

Hm -- the same opacity slider that changes the opacity for the freehand tool changes it for the opacity tool. Check the top toolbar at Image -- there is an opacity slider there (currently at 0 %). That's the one you need to use.

I went to configure tool bar -> brushes & co, but I don't find it ! :(

Try to reset to defaults in that dialog. Button in the bottom left corner.
