[howto] Merge two layers with krita

Wed Apr 25, 2012 8:38 am
I you are like me and couldn't find an option to merge two layers, this will help you. I was looking for the option in the wrong place (it's NOT in the layer menu) image below

The place where we can make the merging of the layers is on the top layer menu. (Layer -> Merge With Layer Below) there's also the hotkey Ctrl+E

What version are you using? It's most definitely in the layer popup menu, at least in 2.4 and 2.5alpha, I use it all of the time

I am on debian wheezy, at the moment that means krita 2.3.3.
I hope that the version 2.4 (at least) will be pushed before releasing.

Ah, yeah, older version. You should definitely move to 2.4
