Hey all...
I am evaluating krita alot lately. I would love to use krita in my daily workflow. Also at work. There for I installed the alpha windows release! Works nice so far Here and there some crashes and functions that seem to be broken, but all in all krita is shaping up very good! I have a question concerning the cursor shape. I have set it to Brush Outline. And it works as expected. One thing that is somehow really bugging me. Maybe other have no problem with it. I really cannot get used to, that the outline is scaling as my pressure with the pen changes. The thing is, I like to see the maximum size of my brush and then I know that all values between this outline can be controlled with my pressure. I don't need to see the actual size while pressing harder because I can feel it and directly see it because I see the stroke at the same time. I think it is important to see the max brushsize because this gives more prezision while painting. Is there a way to setup the brush outline to display only the maximum size? What do other artists and developers think? Do you make the same experience as myself? I am interested in your experience! Thanks for your time! |

Well, I'm not finding the discussions right now, but I'm pretty sure that we implemented it the way it is because artists asked for it . I mean, I remember that we had some quite severe performance issues to overcome... We're tracking issues on the topic of brush outline at https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=299809, if you add your suggestions there we can take care of it when we get to that topic again. I'm sure we can create an option for it
