Hello! Well, it's like it says in the title. I just upgraded to version 2.5, and while I was playing around with it I noticed a couple of things: first, painting is a bit laggy compared to 2.4. Next, adding a text object to the canvas works normally, but once the text is there I can't edit it, I can select the text as a whole object, also the characters individually, but I can neither erase the existing text or type anything. I tested in other Calligra apps and there the text works normally, so, I don't know If anyone else is havig this issue too.
System settings: Kubuntu 12.04 64 bit, Calligra Suite 2.5 (from backports ppa), nvidia driver 302.17, kernel generic 3.2.0-29. Thanks in advance! |

Yes, we noticed the text tool was broken the day after the release . The bug is already fixed in the 2.5 branch, so the 2.5.1 will have the fix. I didn't notice any slowdown/additional lag when painting, though -- not sure what is going on there.

Oh! Ok! let's wait for te update! One more thing: Is the alpha channel enabled by default whenever a new document is created in Krita? I'm experiencing a strange behavior with that.

Yes, krita layers always have an alpha channel. What's the weird thing you're noticing?

I am using version 2.5.3, and the text tool is still not working, could you confirm if it has been fixed or not? I can't find an open bug related to this.
