Hello,
I have made the upgrade to Ubuntu 12.10 yesterday.
Now, Krita crashes (always) when I try to access to "Configure Krita".
I have the following message
Executable : krita PID : 4685 Signal : Segmentation fault (11),

It is a shame, because after the upgrade I had a crash directly at Krita'startup, which I solved by erasing krita files in /.kde/share/apps/krita.
But now, being unable to acces to Krita configuration, I can't modify the opengl config, and I have important loses of performances...

Any help (about he crash, or the file I could modify to configure opengl) ?

Yeah, that that's a known bug in Ubuntu currently which isn't solved yet. I guess you are using the open source radeon driver, in that case you could switch to fglrx and the crash should be gone.

Thank you for your fast answer.
In fact, I use the Nouveau Driver, but maybe it has the same effects than the open source radeon driver...

As I didn't find the bug report, would you have the link to have a look ?

Thank you, I have mention my crash to this bug track.

But is there a config file where I could change OpenGL parameters for Krita ?

Hey Tepee :) I'm not a specialist ; but this infos looks to be into the file :
~/.kde/share/config/kritarc
Code: Select all
useOpenGL=false
useOpenGLShaders=false
useOpenGLToolOutlineWorkaround=false
useOpenGLTrilinearFiltering=false

@Deevad : Hi you too ^-^ I had check this file and I was sure that OpenGL wasn't there.
But I re-checked, and yes, as you said, it was there ?!?!?
I have to change my glasses... So thank you, I will remember about this file.
But I already just solved my problem (since 1 hour).
@slangkamp : Thank you too, because I just installed the proprietary (argh !) nvidia driver, and now as you said it works :D

Again, thank you 2, only 1 day to solve this kind of problem, it is wonderful. I will have a nice weekend with happy drawing (yes I'm euphoric) \\(^^)//
