All the info is above... but I don't think it's the brush, it's the redrawing of the circle when I resize that is causing the lag. It happens with dulling/smear type brushes. When it 'done' resizing the speed of the brush while painting is excelent. Mine is a custom brush but I'm sure the same issue is with all brushes of these types.

Yes, I do. I don't think I'd use Krita without it. I first thought that it might be nouveau / nvidia thing and tried them both but the problem is there regardless of the module. How is your sculpture going? Did you stop after class or are you still punching the clay? :) I liked what I saw....

No difference in speed here. The smearing/dulling doesn't have anything to do with the outline of the brush, so I think there has to be some setting in that brush to slow it down. We really need the preset, otherwise not much we can do there.

Sorry if I didn't make it clear enough, I realize now that my last description is confusing. What I meant was not the outline of the brush (which is turned off in my settings) but the outline that is only drawn to indicate the process of resizing when you use the shift-key.....

Any updates on this issue? Was it possible to reproduce it with my presets?
I'm very grateful to Boudewijn for making the changes to the color picker, I really love using it now.

Sorry, I haven't yet been able to look into it. Sven?

Haven't had time either, but I noticed that it's possible to work around the bug by reseting to defaults before selecting the preset. I guess some value isn't set correctly initially.

It's good enough for me, thank you.
Just reselecting the preset after reset didn't work for some reason. I simply did a reset and created the brush anew. Now all is fine.
