Presently,I am testing krita on a Windows 7 laptop.
I am buying a new Windows tablet which bears "Wacom Penabled" Logo. will pressure sensitivity work on these tablets in Krita or is it limited to only mainstream Wacom Cintiq like tablets??? I am buying Fujitsu Lifebook T902 13.3 inch convertible tablet PC,Intel core i7 & 3.6 GHz,8GB RAM. http://www.wacom-components.com/english ... abled.html http://lifebook.ts.fujitsu.com/products ... -t902.html

It will probably work. On Linux, only Wacom works unless you patch Qt. On Windows, most tablets do work at least somewhat, but there are versions of Wacom and Genius drivers that do weird things that Krita cannot handle. I've had a convertible laptop with built-in wacom digitizer myself, and that worked fine with Krita.

Thanks a lot.Lets hope that I would be able to run Krita well on my new tablet. Will the new version of Windows, that is Windows 8 Pro (Desktop Mode) support Krita Desktop in Pressure sensitivity? Krita Desktop might have been designed for specifically for windows 7.Was windows 8 considered in the software development? I have mentioned the latest Windows 8 version in my order placed for Fujitsu Lifebook T902. Windows 8 was a sudden and Avalanche transition from windows 7,so its obvious that Krita developers would need to write new sub-programs to make it Windows 8 Compatable. |

Krita desktop will work fine on Windows 8 -- i've tested it myself. It'll only work as a desktop app, of course, not a metro app, but that's probably a good thing
