Missing vector tools.

Mon Feb 11, 2013 7:31 pm
I'm having the weirdest problem: I can't find half the vector tools in Krita(calligraphy, freehand path, patterns). As in, they don't seem to appear in the tools-docker, despite upgrading to the latest stable release(from the kubuntu backport ppa).

I've been scourging off the internet, trying to figure out if maybe these are only meant for the unstable releases, but with these tools being constantly mentioned in all the release notes and nobody being surprised over them missing, I have the feeling they are really supossed to be there?

using Ubuntu 12.10 with Cinnamon desktop. Krita-build came from the Kubuntu-backports ppa.

You need to install Karbon too to get the tools.

Ah thanks!

Would be nice if this were noted in the wiki somewhere, or on the site?

Personally, I'm a bit of an inkscape veteran, so it would be counter-intuitive for me to install Karbon when I have a vector package that already suits my needs.
