Draw a curved text

Sat Feb 23, 2013 9:53 am
Sorry for asking again, but I've searched a lot and trying as much but I can't understand how to draw a curved text.
I draw a text, but I can't figure how to activate the "detach path" or "convert to path" tool under "Text on path" section.
More, when the text is on layer, how it could be edit, and perhaps curved?

There is no documents at all on this arguments, unfortunately :'(
Thanks,
Carlo.

Wonderful, it runs.
But I precise some facts, to help someone interested into the argument.

1) The tutorial is made with Karbon; with Krita some details are different (see below)
2) With Krita stand-alone (without Karbon installing) some parts don't work
3) The button to activate the artistic text tool is not present in Krita. But you can double clic on the artistic text, the effect is the same
4) The widget to control and format the text aspect are not in the shape dock, but in the tool dock; in Karbon instead are in the shape dock, as in the tutorial
5) I experimented some causal crash. Don't give up! It seems to be an experimental function, but it works with some labor.
6) I used Krita 4.8.5 and KDE 2.4, and the function didn't run at all; I upgrade to Krita 2.6.0 and KDE 4.10 and now I can draw curved texts.

Hope it could help,
Carlo.
