Is there is a way to install krita 2.6 without using the kde backports.
I want to have the latest stable version of krita but I know that if I use the kde backports my system will be updating too, and i think that my system will become unstable, so thats why i don't want to use that way. I tried the david Revoy script, but it doesn't work for me. Help me please!, Thank you for your time ![]() |

did you try compiling it? http://community.kde.org/Calligra/Building
you should provide a link to the David Leroy script since you reference it, did you try contacting the script's author? were there any error messages displayed when attempting to run it? |

The scripts works, I was the problem, I was using the terminal as root, that was one of the problems; the other problem was a missing library called "boost" or something like that.

I just added the appropriate line to my /etc/apt/sources.list as stated here: http://packages.ubuntu.com/raring/amd64/krita/download
Then I went into Synaptic Package Manager, reloaded, installed Krita and Karbon for vector support, removed the line from the sources.list file and reloaded Synaptic again to flush out the unneeded upgrades. I'm running Lubuntu 12.04, but with this I was able to install Krita 2.6 without having to install an entire kubuntu desktop. Does that help? |
