Hi,
I was away for a long time, working on some problems very weakly related with drawing. But all this time I remembered about Krita and even using it occasionally. ![]() Now, I must to draw again, draw a lot. And I found, that my old Wacom tablet is not satisfy me anymore. So, I decided to buy the new Intuos5 tablet. But I use Kubuntu 12.04 LTS and the question is: Will not be any problems with such a combination? Or, more specifically: 1) Is Intuos5 fully supported by current driver and KDE-config-tablet panel in my OS? 2) Isn't any problems with Intuos5 in Krita itself? (not included "Touch", I think that it is not very important for me) Thanks |

No problems that I have heard of, but I've only got an Intuos3 myself. And after Deevad has told me he thinks that's the best tablet Wacom has ever made, I've stopped lusting after a new one

Thank you, Boudewijn!
You dispelled my doubts and now my hands lies on the wide surface of Intuos5 L. And I do not regret that I decided to change the old Intuos3 A5 to this "monster". Testing it just about a hour, but even now I can say that It's the best graphical tablet I have and comparable only with the very old serial A4+ model I used ten years ago... And it's not so much the size, but primarily in the precision. On my Kubuntu 12.04, the tablet has started without any effort, even Touch and Gesture seems to work. I have only adjust the mapping in the control panel. The one strangeness is that the model detected is NOT Wacom ![]() ![]() Tested (of course) in Krita, the drawing experience is amazing! ...But I sleeping now. ![]() ![]() |
