I find the Krita's transform tool very interesting, especially the wrap and perspective transform features. I miss some simple functions, and maybe somebody can enlighten me as to if they are missing features, or they are right in front of my face, in which case I kindly ask you to point me at the right direction!
Questions / suggestions:

- Is there a quick way to make a concentric scale?
In photoshop or painter, there is a handy way to do it by pressing 'alt', while in transform mode. The selection is scaled towards/away from the center point. If 'shift' is pressed at the same time, the transformation is proportional.
The only way I found in Krita is by changing the numbers in the tool options palette. Is there another way to do it?

- Although the wrap mode is greatly adjustable, I still miss the 'distort' function: Ability to take one of the 4 corners of the selection and freely move it around without affecting the position of the other 3 points. The difference with the wrap mode is that the distortion is completely linear.

Any insight about this?
The first thing I tried to do while using the transform tool is scaling from its center.
Unfortunatly it doesn't seems to be available.
Maybe I am not knowing Krita enough.
I'd love to hear any answer about it.

Thanks

No, no news here... But there might be a summer of code project that focusses on the transform tool.

Koushik, on irc today, asked "doesn't holding shift while scaling do you what you want?" And I'm wondering, too.

Boudewijn,

Holding shift transforms proportionally but the center of the tranformation is the opposite corner - for example, if I grab the lower right corner, the transformation is moving towards or away from the top left corner. A concentric transformation would use the center as the reference point. At the moment this is only achieved by changing the values at the tool options palette, with a transform active.

Another thing about the transform tool:
the area around and on the corners/handles of the transformation have 3 functions assigned to them: Scale, rotate and skew.
When I scale the transformation non-proportionally, for example if I scale down the width, the handles of the transformation start to deform as well!
If I want to continue manipulating the transformation, the 3 functions get so close together that it can be very hard to find the one I want.

If I am not mistaken, the functions are laid out like this:
The handles have only scale assigned to them.
the area around the corners and outside the transformation activates the rotate mode.
skew mode is activated when hovering on the lines of the transformation square.
