Yeah it's available thanks to macports

This DA user claims to have installed in his mac KRITA http://patrikandersson.deviantart.com/a ... -354794842.

However I don't understant the instructions as I am not very tech savy. It would be great if someone could explain me how to install it on my mac. thanks!

I haven't really managed to follow the instructions myself -- at least, not twice in a row. Probably something weird on my mac. I'm sorry I can't help you further, but the mac is a bit of a mystery to me, still.

Hi, I'm the DA user? What kind of problem occurs when installing the krita-package? I think you should be able to install it by "Calligra" package, through macport...
I build the the version 2.6.0 of calligra

Save this code as "Portfile" go to the directory and run "sudo port install" and everything shall go fine.

Code: Select all
# -*- coding: utf-8; mode: tcl; tab-width: 4; indent-tabs-mode: nil; c-basic-offset: 4 -*- vim:fenc=utf-8:ft=tcl:et:sw=4:ts=4:sts=4
# $Id$

    system "launchctl load -w /Library/LaunchAgents/org.freedesktop.dbus-session.plist"

}

Edit: Krita (2.6.4) builds but I'm not able to run it due to
The service 'Calligra Painting and Image Editor Component' does not provide an interface 'KoPart' with keyword ''

According to bogdancovaciu's comment on my picture at http://patrikandersson.deviantart.com/a ... -354794842, he successfully built it and ran it. I have also successfully built it but that was 2.6.0. So the answer is yes.

What problems do you run into? The procedure should be like installing xcode then macports and then run the above Portfile.
I don't expect that it is easy for a non-tech person, since I found it a bit tricky to make it work too. Remember you are free to ask for guidance, I would recommend using the irc #krita channel on krita's homepage, but be patient it takes time to resolve each issue.

Merry Christmtas!
