Flipbook docker Windows

Sun Aug 04, 2013 7:24 am
Just curious, what happened to the flipbook docker? Seemed like an awesome feature, but it seems missing now.

BTW Krita is now official :D Great program to use and I'm building up my brushes right now to do some serious work with it. Thanks everyone for all the hard work in developing, (and continued development) of Krita, and thanks to the users that helped make it better as well by bug reporting, making brushes, ideas, etc. Really happy with Krita atm.

I've had to disable the flipbook docker because of a problem with the basic architecture of Calligra that makes it really hard to switch documents in the same view. I'm working on solving that issue, but's slow going.

So what happenes to this feature? I tried hard to dig through any documentation but I still cannot find the flipbook feature except in the File Save dialog. Currently I can only manually export layers one by one.

It depends on the Multiple Documents branch for it's features, so it'll return once that returns :)

Well, the flipbook feature wasn't about the layers inside an image, it's about making a collection of images. I was hopeful to get it working, but failed miserably two years ago. Now, with the MVC branch nearing completing, it's getting possible to revive it.

As for saving layers in an image, that's what we originally did the "save group layers" feature for.
