I've added some tags in different instances of Krita 2.7.2 on ubuntu-gnome 13.10 (predefined brushes and presets window)... but the filter tags works only in the actual session. When you restart, krita don't see the archive 'tags.xml' on .kde/share/apps/krita/

I have had a similar problem on *buntu 13.04, krita 2.8; for me the problem has been solved in a somehow strange way.. the kind of "ghost in the machine"-problem

There is still a bug in the tagging. See https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=325291

As you workaround you can add tags by righ-clicking on the brush/preset itself and then add a tag. The one at the top doesn't work currently.
