I think Krita would benefit from an on the fly way to scale down the size of patterns from the docker. I've been using a customized pattern/texture brush from the Modular Brush set. Only problem is that some of my pattern files are hugely larger than others and the only way I can reduce the size is to resave the .png to a smaller size. Doable, but tedious and not workflow friendly. Plus I may want increase the pattern size as opposed to reducing it. Yes, you can create a preset by adding a pattern to a brush and and scale the pattern as a texture in the brush editor, but again, not what I looking for - plus I wouldn't be able to use the pattern docker to switch anymore. What do you guys and gals think.

This would be a nice feature. Maybe like the proportional option used by the spraybrush. So that Area of Effect and used image/pattern scale proportional. That would be easy to use without any additional ui element in the main window. A feature with high versatility and flexibility for the user.

Yes, that would be a useful addition, and in the end probably not hard to code at all. But we'd need a good mockup or something like that of the functionality. I'm not sure I completely follow VascoBasque's suggestion, I'm afraid.
