Hi,
I just installed KRITA today and have had a wonderful time using it until i accidentally chose the full screen mode. I have Ubuntu/Linux and am not using a tablet. I was able to start krita just fine, selected full screen mode and then the main menu bar disappeared. i was not able to exit out of full screen mode by any normal means. i had to restart my computer. krita started just fine again. i accidentally got back into full screen mode and can't get out of it again. this time after i restarted the computer, krita starts in full screen mode. i lose the top main menu. HELP!! Please, thank you! |

Either hit tab or ctrl+shift+F.
There's two versions of fullscreen mode, and for both you use the same shortcut to get in and out if them. (So if hitting tab doesn't help, hit tab again, same for the other shortcut I have) |

Hi,
Thanks for the tips! I tried Ctrl + shift +F and it did not exit full screen. I tried hitting tab, but nothing happened. When I hit Alt + Tab, i was able to see my desk top and get back on here. So I have lost the main menu bar up top, this contains the undo feature. It's really frustrating. Does anyone know if this is a bug or if I am not hitting the right icon to exit? Let me know if there's anything else i can do, thanks! |

If your settings are so messed up that the menubar has disappeared, remove the config file:
.kde/share/config/kritarc That should restore the gui to its normal state. Ubuntu's way of taking a menubar from a window and displaying it up top is very buggy and can lead to all kinds of broken apps, but that's a Unity bug, not a Krita bug. |

Well, but instead of losing all configurations, close Krita, open the file '/home/user/.kde/share/config/kritarc' look for the line "ko_geometry = ...." and set like this:
The menu will be visible again and you will not lose your configurations! |

Hello, I know it's been sometime by now, but I think that might be useful.
If the suggested shortkeys above don't work, in the newer versions, I might be a matter of pressing Tab key. Seems so simple, yet took me time to figured it out. |
