http://wstaw.org/m/2013/12/10/plasma-desktopCf1712.png On the left is gwenview showing the document ... on the right is the same document opened in krita ... (and krita preferences in the middle) Notice how the oranges are different ... the orange on the left (gwenview) is correct ... color picking via the color picking plasma widget on gwenview ... and krita's internal color picker show that krita thinks its displaying the correct color Why is krita displaying colors incorrectly? ... and how do i fix it. and if the answer is that krita is showing them correctly ... and everything else is broken ... how do i break krita to show the colors incorrectly this is Kubuntu 13.10 ... using krita 2.7.2 (was installed with the system) ... kde 4.11.2 ... ati mobility 4500 ... ... 3.0 Mesa 9.2.1 I did not have this problem from previous installation ... with krita (2.5/2.6) ... mint 13 ... kde 4.8ish ... ati proprietary driver (cataylist) if it matters ... i do have an external monitor plugged in ... and a bamboo wacom (mte-450) ... the file was a png exported from inkscape http://huttyblue.deviantart.com/gallery/ ... for those who are curious |

Hi!
I have the same problems using mirage, if the image has a different ICC profile than s-RGB in header it shows colors changed. Geeqie on the other hand loads the correct ICC profile and shows the colors equal to krita. That probably could probably be.

There is also a report of AMD/ATI GPU's showing weird colors when opengl is enabled and the proprietary driver used: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=324298. The open source AMD driver is reported to work correctly...
In any case, I'd be happy to look into the issue as far as I can without an AMD graphics card, if you make a report on bugs.kde.org and attach the PNG file. |

ok ... so ... before going on a wild goose chase with bug reports and all ... i decided to install project neon ..
and it the colors are perfect Version 2.9 Pre-Alpha Using KDE Development Platform 4.11.60 to be specific i dont have to file bug reports for things that are already fixed ... do I ? (also is there any way to move the new krita from project neon back to regular kde? ... project neon has messed up gtk themes and stuff) |

Nope, if it works for you now, it's okay, no bug reports needed.
