find center of image

Wed Jan 22, 2014 12:15 pm
Hello! i have been using Krita for a few months, and I find it to be a great software.

I have a question: In Gimp, if I want to find the center of the image, I can put guides on it - and I can set the position using %, what makes the job real easy. But with Krita the only resource I found that is likely to it is the grid, and it is really hard to set it up to make some grid lines match the exact center of my canvas.

Is there an easy way to do this?

Thanks in advance!

Not yet... It sounds like a good addition, though.

Hm... what you could do as a low-tech work around is to draw straight lines from the upper right corner to the lower left, and from the upper left to the lower right, forming an X. The middle point of that X is the middle of the drawing(both horizontally and vertically).
