Krita won't seem to stay open on my computer once I hit the 'create' button (for creating a new worksheet).
I'm running it on a Windows 7. However, it is dual booted with ubuntu (but I primarily run on windows). I was wondering what could be causing Krita to close immediately after I open it. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it multiple times. I am using the 64 bit version. |

Check whether moving c:\users\USER\AppData\Roaming\krita away helps. There might be a config setting that is incompatible with your system.

I'm experiencing the same crash on 2.7.9.10. It also affects the loading of existing files.
The workaround mentioned doesn't help, nor does the slightly more detailed one on this thread: viewtopic.php?f=281&t=118249 It began immediately after installing 2.7.9.10, I can't recall which version I was on previously, perhaps 2.7.9.1 - it was whichever release introduced the Wacom tablet right click bug. That release was working well for me, the Wacom issue aside. I'm currently downloading older versions of the beta so I can report which version is working for me. I'm on Windows 7 64bit, 16GB of RAM, NVIDIA graphics card. This bug doesn't rear it's head on my Linux install for what it's worth. Great work guys, really appreciate your efforts/progress and hope to get this sorted soon, I'd love to upgrade my Krita version at work once I know this won't happen there too! |

OK, 2.7.9.5 (git 73a1389) works fine for me, hope that helps.

I have to admit I'm baffled... But I have had at least a dozen reports like this! Do you have about 1.3G free on c:\, perhaps? If so, I can make a zipfile with a build with debug symbols. If you also have Visual Studio 2012 express, we might be able to get a backtrace...

Just wanted to let you know that as of 2.7.9.12 I no longer have this issue.
Thanks for the great work, the 2.8 release is shaping up to be something special indeed. I'm sure with such a good Windows version available Krita will really start to take off! |
