Hey I'm using Krita 2.7.5, when I use the text tool it allows me to select an area, I do that and a new layer is created, I can select a letter and stuff but I can't actually write, whats up with that?

There was a problem with the text shapes in 2.7.9.5 on Windows 8. For the artististic text shape, that was fixed in 2.7.9.7. The next build will also fix the multiline text shape on Windows 8.

I'm using Arch. I would never degrade myself to using Windows 8 on an actual computer (it's a mobile phone/tablet OS in my eyes, nothing more, in fact I thought it was such an abomination when I saw it's preview that I instantly (and desperately) started trying to use Linux of all things.)

But well, I managed to work around it by going to add shapes and adding text, then double clicking it to write (took me a while to figure out too; why isn't this easier to do?)
