Hi,

I'm in a need of a help. How do I photo manipulate and blend the example text to a picture where bent transparent paper is being hold. Please look at attached link. I need to create concept design picture of a futuristic newspaper sheet.

Please point me to tutorial, tool, anything that will help me to get started with this work.

I also have access to Photoshop or Gimp if you think this would be easier to achieve in those programs

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Use the transform tool. It's tricky in Krita since you can't choose the opacity when you use transform, it's harder to match the layer below if you can't see it. The process is the same in Photoshop and Gimp, using their own transform/perspective and warp tools.

How to use the transform tool in Krita: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgTkfebleCE

Transform the page to match the perspective and apply. Then use the transform tool again, set warp, place custom points were you need, move points around to match the paper's bend. For the bent page you have to cut and transform separate pieces.

Set the blend mode to multiply if you want to keep the transparency. Or use the color to alpha filter before transforming and play with opacity/blend modes.

Thank you for great help!

The Krita transform tool looks indeed amazing. I'll try this method.
