Critical error with ppa

Sat Mar 15, 2014 6:50 pm
Hello

I wanted to try this new 2.8 and install the ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports (on xubuntu 13.10) and got this error at startup :

Krita: Critical error
Essential application components could not be found.
This might be an installation issue.
Try restarting, running kbuildsycoca4.exe or reinstalling.

I tried reinstalling (as kbuil...exe didn't seem a good solution on ubuntu) and the synaptic tell me that the packet is broken.
After a apt-get autoremove the reinstallation work but the error is still here.

Is that just me or is the ppa broken? Are there a solution?

Thanks

In a terminal, please run the following command:
Code: Select all
kbuildsycoca4 --noincremental

That work.

There was no icon so I had to install oxigen-icon-theme-complete manually to get icons.

Thanks for your help.
