Hi --
This is a total newb question, but is there a way to move a selected area for fine tuning? This means moving or nudging the perimeter without altering the pixels underneath. This is a common function in Gimp and other image editors, but for some reason I can't find out how to do this in Krita. Can someone help? Maybe the workflow is different in Krita, but I couldn't find any online resources to address this. For me, it's a very important part of my workflow, as I've been using this functionality for many years. Any help would be appreciated. I really do love Krita, by the way. Thanks! |

That's a bit limited currently. There are two ways to do that. Either you use vector selections and move the shapes around or you use the transform tool on an empy layer so it only the selection is transformed.
Improvement to that are planned and will also be part of the fundraiser we start next week. |

Thanks so much for getting back to me so quickly.
The workflow is a bit more like a workaround, so I'll be using your suggestions absolutely. It is wonderful to hear that this will be a part of the fundraiser! I shall surely donate towards expanded selection functionality and improved usability. |
