I tried installing Krita in Ubuntu 14.04 following the instructions in Krita Download page.
When tried to run the software, it prompted me to some error saying that there is missing content in the installation.
Same happened if trying to install via the "Ubuntu Software Centre"

I believe that for some users, the "kbuildsycoca4" command may not sound so straightforward and if not executed, Krita won't run.

Searching around i found that after installation of kbuildsycoca4, the user must type the following command in the terminal (not a "sudo" command):

"kbuildsycoca4 -noincremental"

This solved the whole problem, as if completing the installation.

I just thought this should be included in the download page instructions to make the installation smoother for some users.

Regards!

Newer versions of Krita don't require to run kbuildsycoca4 anymore.

That problem was for version 2.8.5. Which seems to be the most recent version available in the website and also in Ubuntu Software Centre.
