I recently installed openSUSE after I deleted ubuntu due to difficulties I don't want to divulge right now. Just thinking about the frustration of simply adjusting the damn resolution gives me a headache.
Anyways, I installed Krita 2.7 and want to upgrade to 2.9. I tried installing every copy of the file but to no avail. Every time I tried I get an error message saying that a package dependency could not be found. Here's the details: nothing provides libbasicflakes.so.14()(64bit) needed by calligra-krita-2.9.40git.1406868629-86.12.x86_64 Any advice will be appreciated. |

Krita 2.9 has not been released yet, we're still working on it. As far as I know, nobody is making development builds of Krita for OpenSUSE yet. From which repository or which file exactly are you trying to install Krita?

I tried to installed all of them from the site below but the same thing happened.
http://software.opensuse.org/package/calligra-krita I forgot 2.9 is still in alpha stage. Nevertheless, I'm willing to use 2.8.5 as well. |

Go to YaST->Software Repositories, click on "Add", choose "Community Repositories", and add the "KDE:Extra" repo. Then enter YaST->Software Management and update your krita to 2.8.5 (click on "Versions" below the package list to see all available versions. YaST does not show/install versions from other repos by default). |
