Vector gradient direction

Fri Sep 26, 2014 11:01 am
Hi
I'm creating vector layers and editing the shapes using the "Tool Options" docker. The "Fill" section provides the option for a gradient fill, but I can't find any way to set the direction of the gradient - I seem to be stuck with top-left to bottom-right.
Am I missing something?
Thanks

Use the gradient editor tool to change the directions of the gradient in the vector. It's next to the calligraphy tool in the toolbar.

I can't find it. My toolbar does not appear to have the pattern editing, calligraphy or gradients editing tools.
All the other tools described here https://userbase.kde.org/Krita/Manual are present, though.

Ah! Where does your version of Krita come from?

If you build yourself, you'll need to tur on Karbon in the cmake configuration.

I think I got it from the Ubuntu Software Centre a while back, but it's been through various updates since then.
I've now installed Karbon and restarted Krita, I now have the gradient editing tool.
Thanks!
