I understand it's possible from what I've seen around, but I haven't figured out how to do it. >.> I've gone to the 'preset' brushes tab in the brush editor and selected the .abr brush I wanted from the 'import resources' button, but after I selected the brush and pressed ok nothing happened. I'm unable to find the brush that I wanted imported in my brushes, even after restarting Krita.
So what am I doing wrong, and how can I do it right? ![]() Thanks in advance for your help, I've been using Krita for a few weeks now and I really appreciate the obvious work that went into making it a great painting program. |

Can you check if the brush is in the brushes folder. You can do that via Edit->Open Resource folder and then check brushes.
Sometimes there are also multiple brushes inside one abr, might be that the brush is called differently in the brush chooser. |

Yeah it's not in there. I'll go ahead and use the file system to drop it in though instead of using the program interface. See if that works. ^^ I take that back it IS in there, so how do I make it show up in the krita brush list? |

It should show up automatically.
If the .abr file is available publically I could check if the file doesn't load or so. |

Certainly, it's this fur brush right here: http://fav.me/d6g78rf Appreciate the help. ![]() *edit: I tried downloading a different brush and that did show up in the presets, so I'm leaning towards it's this brush itself that's faulty. ![]() **second edit! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

The Photoshop brushes don't map completely onto Krita brushes. It's more or less just the tip that carries over. The current support goes up to CS 2 I think and the brush appears to use some CS 4 features.
