Ugly aliasing when inking.

Fri Oct 17, 2014 10:57 pm
I have been playing around with brush settings all day and cannot come to a satisfying result.

The basic annoyance is that I can't seem to make a brush without getting aliasing. There is always some degree of jaggedness, but it's more apparent the smaller brush size I go.

The included ink brush is okay, but since it has a soft tip, large brush size appear to soft. I could always go with the default tip, but again, that just makes the brush jaggedy. The smooth lines option appears to do nothing as well.

Wolthera here,

As well, the new version of Krita has proper antialiasing build in! It's far easier to get nice antialiasing in 2.9 alpha(first open source drawing program that does this as well, as far as I know).

(Ink brush included is... well, actually one of my brushes :) )

Yeah, I'm a bit new to the program, so there are still some things I've been figuring out. Like, I just found out about the curves. I've been using the curve setting to adjust the hardness, so I got a brush that suits me now. :) Thanks again!
